Basically all i did was put a shot glass filled with distilled water in it. It been about 12 hours and its seems like the shot glass has the same amount of water as it did when i put it in. The RH is at 68. Am i missing something? I know its only been 12 hours, but I would think after 12 hours, at least a little of the water should be absorbed from the shotglass.
I won't go into the science of a liquid converting to vapor, and the volumes associated with each, but I suspect anyone would be hard pressed to notice the difference in the level after 12 hours in a closed humidor.
Search for herfer's guide to seasoning a humidor, or simply don't worry too much about it, buy cigars, put them in there while smoking some.
