I just recieved the sampler yesterday. The cigars looked and smelled great. I am going to let them sit in the humidor a few days before smoking them. I can't wait. Thanks a lot!

It turns out that shipiping to Canada is actually slightly cheaper than Priority Mail within the US

Not only that, it didn't take that long to get there. I think I mailed them last Thursday.

@CC I meant to send you a PM when the cigars came in, thanking you for the quick responses, etc. etc. but your PM box is full, so.....empty it or something

Friggin' bank whacked me a $4.00 "fee" for the Canadian money order. Well at least I know this for future deals with those from the Great White North.

Ouch, I'm sorry. If I'd known I would have sent extra to cover it. I'll make it up next time we deal. I'd send you a "sorry" cigar now, but all's I have I got from you and I'm not sure it would mean as much that way

This is good to know for me though, because I am sending another MO south of the border tomorrow.

Don't worry about it at all, I didn't know either. The main reason I posted this was so we'd all know for future trading. In all the trading I've ever done, this was only the 2nd time I did something with someone OUTSIDE the USA. The other one was with a guy in Sweden but we trades cigars so no $$ was involved.

I guess certain banks have different charges. In my case, I use a credit union where the fees are generally less than other commercial banks. The told me that the fee is either $3.00 or $4.00 and it has nothing to do with the amount of the money order. They told me it would never be higher than $4.00.

Whoever you're sending the MO to should check with his bank first to see what the fee will be.
