Nataku, I've been buying most of my cigars from the gas station as well, at least up until the last few weeks when I've been visiting a tobacco shop with my friend. Most stations I've visited only have smaller cigars like Swisher Sweets and King Edward's, which don't suit my taste as I prefer larger cigars. The station I frequent has a broader selection of cigars, albeit cheaper ones, and I tried a handful of them. Bering Churchills became my cigar of choice for months and I still smoke a few per week now. They seemed to get less-than-glowing reviews from other board visitors, but I'm sure they're used to higher-quality cigars than I have been. Another larger brand that is available on-and-off at my gas stations was Grenadier Churchills. I bought a few of these a couple months ago and didn't enjoy them nearly as much. I'm bad with brand names, so I can't remember some of the other kinds that I often notice on gas station shelves. It seems as though the selection is often different at every station anyway, so there's no guarantee that what I recommend will be available in your neck of the woods.
Generally speaking, cigarsarge's advice is probably the best. If you can avoid the gas stations brands, do so. But otherwise, some experimentation with available brands at your station of choice is probably your best course of action.

Do yourself a favor as Sarge said - Go mail-order or find a shop somewhere around you, even if you have to drive an hour or so. It's worth it.
try these:

www.cigarsinternational.com

Tobacco store in my town sucks. Every cigar price is more than double price of internet sources.
The only gas station cigars I have ever enjoyed, for what they are worth (which is not much) are backwoods naturals. I would follow the prior suggestions and order online.
Wait a minute, now what is your problem with white owls?
J/K!
