I strongly believe in an informed consumer... Do yourself a favor if you're going to smoke gas station cigars.

Find a tobacconist nearby and purchase even a low priced, hand made LONG FILLER cigar (it should only cost a couple of bucks), and then some of your favorite of the gas station variety. Spread out a piece of newspaper on a table and undo each of the cigars side by side. Take a look at the difference....

It should be fairly evident why you would want the hand made long filler cigar.

Hmm....I've never thought of doing that.

If I were you I would just let the gas station fill up your car and buy your cigars online. Better selection, great prices and lots of sampler packs!

One day I was out driving around and I realized I had left my cigars in one of my other cars. I was dyin' for a cigar so I figured I'd drop in at the first gas stations and pick me up some Munniemakers. Now granted, these are a machine made cigar BUT with a natural wrapper and they are notoriously inexpensive and very popular here in Connecticut. I figured I'd by a box of five.

Well a box of five cost me almost $6.00

I had NEVER seen these "cheap" cigars cost so much. Then I looked at the prices of the other gas station garbage they had and they were ALL ridiculously priced.

The bottom line is buying gas station cigars is NOT cost effective. Just get them from retailers off of the internet.

There are 2 things I don't trust buying from the gas station....gas station cigars and gas station condoms.

There are very few brands at the drug store that make the mark. You can find Macanudo's sometimes. There is one premium you can find though. It's the only one I like. It's Cuesta Rey Cabinet #95. A hand rolled, long filler Corona with a mild-medium body. It has a Cameroon wrapper, and is packed with a small humi-pack to keep them reasonably humidified. They aren't cheap, but are reasonable. A pack of three runs about $12. Even with the humi-pack, they still do best with a little time in the humi. At any rate, this is the ONLY good smoke I've found from the drug store.
