I'm very confused about this whole issue - this caught me totally off guard. I'd just like to say this...

I can't imagine anyone would not know how I feel... What most may not know is I feel Amanda has some serious issues that need not be addressed on this board. She needs to work them out away from here with some type of counseling. This is pretty serious in my estimation, especially if she plans on teaching for a living. Certainly, I can't believe or imagine Amanda would make those comments face to face with me or any other law enforcement officer - that is the sign of a true sociopath. Further, I can't believe or imagine Amanda would make those comments on a public board. Those comments have no business in any public forum - spoken or written.

Amanda - I'm not really clear if you're apologizing because you made the comment and feel foolish - or you now feel remorse for making such an inflammatory comment. It's really not clear to me, but it seems as though you're not happy about being so embarassed. I see you've been a bit more concillatory with Hex than me, so I'm a bit confused about that... I really don't need an apology to move on - I can live well either way. I mostly feel sorry for you, Amanda - but I'm not sure if I should feel sorry for you making a foolish mistake, or feeling sorry for seeing someone who seems pretty intelligent not truly understanding the gravity of the post..

Alex - I'm not sure what you're trying to say in your comments... Do you condone what Amanda said and upset because it has turned into a circus. Or are you saying it's was a circus that lead to the comments... Knowing you, I'd have thought you'd be a little more offended by what was written... The thoughts of people who I consider friends concern me more than those who I don't know.
