Things have gotten way out of hand and I figured I would speak up before just choosing to up and leave.

As of now I'm just not encouraged to put the effort into this board if I know it has a shot to go to shit in the coming day/week/month cuz the FOGs can't act like... well... FOGs... I guess... or the definition that I heard of them at least.

Don't let this go to your head but you're role models for a lot of us newbs (young or old), if it wasn't for y'all, some of us would being walking into cigar stores, dropping our pants, and grabbing our ankles hoping that since we just handed our wallet over and/or a small fortune that we'll at least get some lube before being ass raped by some greedy shopkeep.

Bill what it really comes down to is this, all four of you that are involved in this right now are wrong.

Barry has come off as a real asshole in almost all of the political posts he has made and has actually only made me, who was probably going to vote democrat think maybe of doing otherwise. He's come off as just as hateful and ignorant as the republicans he claims are stupid fucktards.

Sid has also come off poorly as well. He shares the same view as Barry in political situations and jumps on anyone who disagrees with just as rude and disrespectful a message, and then when someone calls either one of them on it he just turns downright nasty.

George following people around making snyde comments or starting immature threads? I thought he was much better than that.

Here's the deal though, do you really think you're coming off all that much better? You've been just as opinionated and just as mean about expressing it at times as they have. Your tone quite often is just plain condensending, read your post to me we're supposed to be buddies and you're slightly condensending there even. If you can honestly look over all of your response post and find absolutely nothing wrong with them I commend you because you must be a better man than me.

His crap is a direct slap at not just me but others involved in the underlying issue which is Barry's nasty, rude, vulgar, offensive, hate filled posts in the political forum and the subsequent discussions which have followed that. I'm taking issue with it and I don't like it, neither does George nor CNB and a couple of others who I highly respect around here who have chosen not to get in the line of fire because they don't want to take the heat from Barry and Sid and that's fine. Now because Geroge, CNB and I choose to get involve, we don't need some noob like loudpipe here ordering us around and if you're going to give him a back slap and a high five for that, you're going to piss me off.

And when you "bowed out" ten minutes before making this post here, your tone was pretty far from concilatory in fact it was downright offensive and only looking to keep your losing battle going. My guess is once you realized you were badly losing your debate you then switched gears opting to "bow out" rather than try to continue to defend your indefensible arguments. Sorry loudpipe but his posting a "parting shot" and turning around immediately claiming that he's taking the high road by "bowing out" (in the same thread, not here) is duplicitous.

If someone is trying to claim the high ground, it goes something like this:

"Well, this situation is unfortuante, there are differences of opinions and I'm bowing out."

Now, if someone is being duplicitous, they do this:

OK - I'm gettin'; kinda pissed at being dragged into a side in this discussion. Do this, and do it now. Take a look at my posts again. Scroll through and read each one. Just read my posts without reading any of the twists and turns that were not put there by me. My avitar is easy to pick out. It won't take long, I didn't post that many articles. Tell me where I said anything in Barry or Sid's defense, except that I didn't want to see him, or anyone for that matter. banned. Hell, I even included you in that statement.

My first post starts on page 5. First I voted no on the ban, then stated an opinion on politics and said that both Baka and SDVM had toned it down. I was told by Bill and Baka that my facts were wrong and that Barry really never toned it down. Well, I thought he did, but how you took that as a statement of fact, I'll never understand. It's purely objective, and a statement like that can't ever be taken any other way by any sane, logical individual. Then I started getting questions thrown at me while I was at work and told that my opinion on the political system in this country is wrong. When I came home I answered the questions. but I did take exception to being told that my opinions were being corrected by someone who, I guess, was supposed to be smarter than me. Then the one directional name calling began (the direction being from you to me.) After that there were a few more tongue-in-cheek posts and I became a "Barry's boy." Even then I really didn't get upset. I was actually kind of expecting it. I remember what you did to NullSmurf. He ended up not answering you, but just felt bad enough to leave. Well, Bill, ya got him, but I ain't him.

Bill, I am not commenting on Sid or Barry or George because they never asked me anything or challenged my opinions or asked for clarification of my posts the way you did. I never stood for any side other than my own. I never said Barry and Sid were good and you were bad, but somehow that's what it's turned into in your mind. All I did was disagree with you, but I guess I'm not allowed to do that without being grouped in with your "enemies." Yes, I am friendly with Sid and chat with him on the phone. He helped me out when I first joined the board and we get along well. But I fail to see how that has anything to do with what went on here. And Barry and I have never met or even spoken on the phone. We had some discussions in the political forum and we clearly don't see eye to eye, but I never tried to agitate him and he never verbally abused me. In fact, I am beginning to see that some of what he said about the war in Iraq is starting to be admitted to by the current administration. It was a discussion. As for George, I have nothing but the utmost respect for him, but I guess in your mind I should hate hime because he and Sid are having a spiff. I hope they can work it out, but they are big boys and can speak for themselves, as I speak for myself.

I must say, I am starting to get a bit pissed about being dragged into a "side" on this issue. I speak for myself and no one else. Believe me, I respect Barry, Sid, George and Baka enough that I don't feel I have to speak for them. If you don't like the fact that I replied to your allegations and questions, too fucking bad. If you don't want to hear the answer to a question, then don't ask it.

To the rest of you, I apologize for fanning the fire. Bill, I know you are going to reply to this post, so give it your best shot and say anything you want to. Twist what I said in any way you want to, tell me how wrong I am, call me some more names and swear a bit more at me. In my mind, you're not important enough to give a rat's ass. But realize that the rest of the members on this board can go back and read my posts. too. Have all the fun you want to because there will be no reply.
