    Default Question about travel humi

Hey guys, I recently decided to pickup a small travel humidor for my trips to Vegas. I am usually gone 3-5 days so I figured this briefcase style humi would be great for protection and it holds just the right amount. I notice that it doesn't have any humidification system built into it so do you think I should add something to it or should my cigars be fine for a couiple of days?

    Please make any recommendations!

(edit: I would have posted pictures so you don't need to click the link and select additional pictures, but cbid doesn't seem to let you use their pictures)

I have an otter box cigar caddy. Best of the best in my opinion.

It's bullet proof/crush proof. Water proof up to 100feet!!! Perfect seal. Comes in 2 to 15 size caddies. Has a humidification device in the lid. Price is right. Check it out...

I just looked at the travel humi you are thinking about getting, sorry but, what garbage... Thing looks like it will last maybe a trip or two before it falls apart, let alone the seal, is there one?

I'll vouch for the otter box style. I bought a knock off 15 count for $20 it it is great. Seals something rediculous.

Definitely keeps the cigars from rolling around, ripping the feet up etc...

Otter Box style (I have a Herf-a-Dor) are great. That brief case style are just OK at best. I know a guy who has one and he has not been very pleased. You do have to be more careful with that and the seal is not very good. Otter box style seal VERY good and as mentioned above they are damn near indestructable.

Go for one of these over the brief case and you won't be dissappointed. You can generally get these on the cheap (5 count for less than $10 and 15 count for less than $15) on either C-Bid or Cigarauctioneer.com)

    Good luck.

I have the herf-a-dor one also. I like it. I don't think it has a humidification system though, so I just put one of those wet-pillows in there for humidification.

I have the 5 stick otterbox for cigar outings and they're fantastic. Even if you throw your bag of clubs in the water hazard, your cigars will be safe and dry!
