Question about travel humi

I have the herf-a-dor one also. I like it. I don't think it has a humidification system though, so I just put one of those wet-pillows in there for humidification.

I have the 5 stick otterbox for cigar outings and they're fantastic. Even if you throw your bag of clubs in the water hazard, your cigars will be safe and dry!

I have a Herf-a-dor from Cbid. I won it with some 5 Vegas. It is a very, very nice setup. You could run it over with a truck and your cigars would be fine.

I have a Thompson's (I know, don't ask :) briefcase style that just does not do the job. I ended up worrying more about the travel humidor than enjoy my trip up north. Poor cigars.

I would not recommend the briefcase, but it is your decision, bro.

I have the 10 count and 32 count Cigar Caddy.

The 10 count is for day trips and day herfs. The 32 count is for vacations. Boyh are great, They both seal well and keep the cigars from rolling around.

I also have a 5 count Herf-A-Dor that I won with the 5 vegas sticks. Its awesome. Very sturdy, awesome tight rubber seal and a small flower foam to help out with the humidity.

The one your looking at buying looks like it doesnt have a seal what so ever on it. Remember also when your traveling with your travel humi to keep the temperature low on it. Just because you have a humidication device inside wont save your sticks if its hot out. I guess right now in most parts of the country its probably pretty cool though so it shouldnt be a worry. I took mine camping when it was about 100+ out her in southern California and I left it in the ice chest all day and night.

Thanks for the input everyone. Since I already bought this humidor, there is nothing I can do except purchase a different one if its recommended. It came in the mail today and it seems sturdy enough for me (I always drive to Vegas so I don't have to worry about it getting crushed by other luggage or having something set on it). It is full of foam with cigar size slits in it so there is no worry about anything rolling around.

The only thing I am worried about is that there is no humidification system built in. Can someone please recommend me a product to help with that? Or should my cigars be fine for 3-4 days? The seal seems alright on this thing. It will be in AC the entire time to heat is not really an issue, but I appreciate the heads up!

I dont know what kind of seal is on that case you have so im not sure if you would have much use for a humidication device for just 3-4 days.

There are alot of different things you can use though, just gotta find something small enough to leave room for the sticks in your case with it. Maybe some other members here can suggest something that would fit in the case.

I bet one of the small capsules of Beads will fit in one of the cigar slots.

Beads for humidification, carry a small sealable container with some distilled water for the trip.

That said, ditch the briefcase and get an otterbox, or something similar (there are some other brands just as good with a similar style). Far superior product.
