Are you absolutely positive there were no spikes?? As a thought, were any of the smokes "shocked" with the RH. Eg: I keep mine between 52-65% and mid 60s in temps. If I put some of mine (at the low end) in yours at the high end, I think there's be issues.

Sure as hell sounds like it to me.
