I love everything Don Pepin makes. When I had the Don Pepin Cuban Classic (black label) I was like WOW. This was a cigar to get excited about. The mixture of an intense peppery flavor with hints of coffee was just my kind of cigar. I can see why smokers who prefer milder blends would not like this cigar. I gave a black label to my friend who said it was okay (as much as I tried to convince him it was knockout cigar). I later found out he prefers a dependable milder cigar. Don't get me wrong I like milds too, but my preference is the medium to full bodied smokes. Don Pepins are awesome

I'm almost positive it is not the strength of the Pepin that K7 doesn't like.

I gotta agree. The cuban classic is an awesome smoke. Some would even say .... dead sexy .

Pepin does have some nice stuff out. The think I'm concerned with is he's putting his name on alot of stuff out there. How many blends is gonna come up with? God help us if he starts working with Gurkha.

Two of my favorite cigars are Pepins. The Don Pepin blue label and the San Cristobals. Both have a wonderful, smoky, rich flavor for me that I enjoy the whole way through. His blends match my tastes very well. I also like Tatujaes on occasion, and the 601's are also a regular smoke.
There's only two kinds of cigars, the kind you like and the kind you don't.

I find some to be terrible (Tatuaje), and others (Padilla, San Cris) to be good. Just depends on your tastes I guess.

I thought the whole brand as a whole is weak in flavor and strength. Give me a
Joya de Nigaragua Antano or an El Rico Habano any day
The older I get ,the better I was

Yep, that's about what I thought you'd say!
