    Agree with everyone's input on beads - but IMHO, if you're just looking to keep the sticks from drying out for a 3-5 days (specifically in the winter), just use a water pillow. You can get them on cbid or sites like seriouscigars - they're effective, they're cheap, and they're disposable.

    This may be sacrilege, but for trips 3 days or less, I don't even bring a humidification element - anything with a seal will keep the sticks at where you want it to be providing you don't open and close it frequently.
