Did my first All Grain today. It was a Coffee Malt Stout. Went fairly smooth. Had a stuck sparge so that sucked. Other than that I hit my numbers close enough to be satisfied.

Looks like a meth lab to me.

Maybe that's why everyone keeps staring. I've had a cop circle my neighborhood 3 times eyeballin' me. I should've just took out running ... just see what happens.

Looked like a good day to brew. I'll have to get everything out and brew a couple this week for the upcoming Oktoberfest.

Just poured up my first glass of Double Chocolate. It's good! A little under-carbed (opened it early) but is still very good.

Great labels, Chris! I can't stop laughing...

You add 'baditude' to your mash? Nice. I'm not sure about the outdoor mashing though...

Got it at Austin Homebrew Supply. I bought this one when I was doing partial boils. Now that I'm doing full boils I need a bigger one. It's a 25'. I've been looking at the 50'.

Need one? It's only been used twice. You'll get a CS discount.

I am so in the mood to brew. Today's schedule includes my Irish Red Rye. Next week will be a Roggen and the following will be an Osidian Stout clone.

I'm going for the larger one also. Homebrewheaven seems to have the best price on the big ones.

Don't get rid of your small one. It will work great as a pre-chiller for the larger one.

Going out of business sale. Really cheap stuff. Picked up 2 more primarys and a ported carboy.

Fortunately Chris didn't bring a straw or those ridiculous shorts. He did bring some good beer and "forgot" to take it home with him. Not only did he leave me with some of his home brews, but left a few good micros to keep them company. Thanks for the brew man. I can't wait to pop the top on the Double Choc. Stout.

I pitched on top of a yeast cake for the first time last night. That pretty much just means I re-used the yeast from a previous batch. I emptied the Robust Porter from my Primary then poured what I just finished brewing on top of the sediment on the bottom.

    Very active fermentation.

This is my first recipe. It's a Coffee Stout with Chicory. Thinking about calling it Coffeeweed which is another name for chicory, plus it's got coffee in it so it's a 2fer. I'll post up the recipe if it turns out.
