I agree, I just smoked an AF Hemingway Masterpiece and Padilla 1932 Churchill two nights ago, both with cracks in the wrapper and both of them smoked great. Although, for the Padilla I ended up cutting the cracked part which was right before the cap of the cigar, so what mrtr33 suggested.

Is pectin natural tree sap? Or am I talking about something else. I was recently at a Bolivar rolling event and the roller was using all-natural tree sap to hold the wrapper together near the cap or tip on one of the barber pole torpedo he was rolling. At least that's what the General Cigar Co. rep told us.
