    I wouldn't have offered if I didn't want to. Go ahead and fire it up. If it doesn't smoke well or if you run into problems, then you can pitch it without a guilty conscience.

    Try sliding the band down to where the split ends. I've done this before and sometimes it will help keep the split from running up the cigar as it expands.

    That's what I was thinking. 1. Slide the band down to where the crack is. 2. Smoke it anyway and hope for the best.
