I don't see why you're "torn." He offered you cigars he's never going to smoke. Take them.

I don't think (from what I'm reading) that the offer was out there. I think he intimated he had ISOM's in the humi - and that he was no longer smoking cigars. Maybe it's a bit of a goad on the manager's side, but it would be wise to consider all options before openly asking for a cigar.

Beaides - they're likely fakes anyway...
