You're confusing me there Scroto, you say you use it and enjoy it and immediately follow that with you haven't used it lately because you've found something better.

Holy shit was one of the best John Kerry flip-flop, pandering answers I've heard ever which unfortunately is one of the problems with you. You feel the need to post pandering comments on everything, and say "Oh yeah, that's GREAT, SUPER COOL, NEATO, FANTASTIC, GEE WILLIKERS"

It seems to me that if you feel so compelled to respond in a thread where the thread originator was talking about a cigar journal, a more HONEST end genuine response from you would be:

"I tried something like that once but lost interst. I find blogging much easier."

But once again, you cannot resist the urge to pander and leg-hump. You are so shallow and insincere it's actually laughable.

Oh as to the matter at hand, I never kept a cigar journal. Those people who I know started them lost interest rather quickly. I think that once you get more experience smoking cigars, your "sense" of what is a good cigar for you will come to you almost automatically (like riding a bike does once you learn how) which negates the need for you to refer back to some notes that probably won't make much sense once you know more about cigars.

I keep a detailed journal that includes a short description of the smoking experience, a rating, a price, the store purchased from, country of origin, size, brand, etc. I also use 2 journals. One for Cuban's and one for other countries.
