I'm not partial to wine with cigars. The exception being Port. The reason being that I don't much like highly tannic or acid tasting drinks with cigars. Spicy or roasty drinks go much better IMHO. Therefore, a mulled wine would probably do OK. It's almost the season for hot mulled wine and cider too! But I digress. My favorite drink to go with a cigar is a dark Belgian Ale or a Barleywine. The spicy and fruity character of these beers are a perfect companion to a medium or full bodied cigar. Light bodied cigars seem to fare a bit better with a Belgian Tripel or well hopped pale ale.
