    Default Help Me Choose!!!

Okay Folks, I have a great amount of variation of smokes in the humi and I am looking for direction on which cigar to smoke next out of my stock for a relaxing Friday night. I prefer medium bodied and lots of flavor, especially creamy taste (no jokes). An example of a smoke I enjoyed was the A.F. Short Story & also the ERDM Robusto Maduro. Here is a list of what I have so rock the vote but keep it to two out of the list!

    5 Vegas – Churchill
    5 Vegas Gold – Churchill
    C.A.O. Black Lt. - Bengal
    C.A.O. Brazilia – Gol!
    C.A.O. Criollo – Pato
Carlos Torano Casa Torano – Toro
Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 – Toro
Carlos Torano Exodus Silver – Corona Grande
Carlos Torano Exodus Silver – Robusto Corto
    Cusano 18 – Robusto
Don Kiki Green Label – Double Corona
El Rey Del Mundo – Robusto Suprema
    Gurkha Ancient Warrior – Torpedo
Gurkha Master’s Select – Double Corona
    Gurkha Regent – Toro
Natural by Drew Estate – Root
    Padron – 2000
Pueblo Dominicano – Serie I Torpedo
Rocky Patel Sun Grown – Torpedo

I would choose either the Gurkha Ancient Warrior or the ERDM and tell us how it goes.

    Hmmm,
Ya cant go wrong with the Carlos Torano Exodus 1959. The Gurkha Ancient Warrior is good if you can keep it lit.

What would be your description of the Ancient Warrior?

I've only had one and it was a while back. I can't really pick out flavors yet like some of the more experienced smokers. It was medium in strength with a good flavor to it. I had trouble keeping the burn going on mine. I was trying to read a book at the time so that got pretty anoying. You said you liked medium bodied, creamy cigars which is why I chose the Warrior. If I were to choose another cigar from the list regardless of the strength, I would go with the Brazilia.

I've only had 5 or 6 of the exact cigars on your list, and I won't go by what I've heard or read, just on my experiences only:

I'd recommend the C.A.O. Brazilia – Gol! and the Cusano 18 – Robusto.

Both of those are high on my shopping list when I go to Richmond in 2 weeks!

    Whatever you smoke, enjoy it!

    Exodus 1959 has my vote.

I got an Ancient Warrior yesterday and look forward to giving it a try after some rest.

I like pretty much anything from the Torano line, and the Brazilia Gol! is nice as well. But think of it this way....they all have to get smoked sooner or later, no??? So just close your eyes, stick your hand in your humi, and let fate be your guide.

I will have to pick a couple of those up... the #2 was good but a little mild.

Okay... so far it looks like it is between the ancient warrior and the Gol!... with the exodus climbing slightly, thanks for the input!

Typically that is how I normally do it at this point but I thought I would give the board a chance and report back on the findings.

Have you tried any of the Cusano 18s yet? You indicate you want "medium and creamy". The Cusano 18 fits that bill. I would slate it closer to mild even though it is not listed as such.

You do have some better overall smokes on your list though...

Thanks! I really tried to get a wide variety of different smokes by lurking around here and sifting through reviews and such and thought it would only be fair to let you guys choose.

    Top two leaders:
    C.A.O. Gol! (4)

    CT Exodus 1959 (3)
    - tied -
    Gurkha Ancient Warrior (3)

Still open for votes until this evening!

Carlos Torano Exodus 1959 – Toro
    Would have been my vote.
