I never implied any such thing. I did post that there were 2 requestees, you being one of them. It is possible that there's 3, but I doubt it. It would be very odd for someone to request a ban poll, and not vote to ban, or at least suspend, and even more so to think someone would request a ban poll and vote no ban. I understand how logical thinking eludes you, but it follows that a max of 3 requests were made, and I still strongly suspect it was only 2, one of which was definitely you.

George, what does this say about the 19 people who did vote (and remember you cast your ballot too)?
The guys who pointed out that they would refrain from voting (K7, NH, Lopaka) are all great guys who have my respect. I know they aren't the only ones who abstained from voting but they stated publicly why they weren't. My favorite reason is from K7, "I didnt vote just to show I dont give a fuck about this whole bunch of shit."
Anyway, each one of the non-voters listed has made a point to treat me decently during my time here. However, I would never say that they are more or less valuable to this board than the guys that did vote: guys like Sarge, SLC, BPP, CgarDan, Roham, Newf, and Drew have been extremely generous and gracious brothers, not only to me but to a lot of other newb's who have came and stayed. And George, you were the first person on this board from whom I ever received a package. You've probably sent out enough packages that you forgot you even mailed one my way, but it made a lasting impression on me. It was the first lesson I had on how to be a BOTL.



I'm not for or against anybody at this point. What upsets me is I was under the impression that GG, CC, and BPP used to be pretty good friends. Hell, maybe they still are and they're PMing each other having a good laugh about this...I kinda hope so.
But regardless of who is or isn't friends anymore, can we please, for the love of Pete, bury this corpse? It's really putting out an awful stink.

I don't so much mind because I like to know where my friends stand with me - that's why I've been with my wife for over 27 years - I always know where I stand with her, even in the heat of battle (she supports me when I need support - I support her when she needs support - and we both know when we're crossing lines and avoid doing it)

I've asked privately for what other members are asking for publically. Apparently some just don't give a damn what me or others think. It's interesting that some (and especially ONE) are interpreting what they're hearing as support for their cause. But - in reality - I don't read it that way - and I can't believe they (and that ONE) isn't.

But all in all - I know where I stand - and that's a good thing in my world...

IIRC there is an ignore list on this board, if you are one of the select few that has such a problem with him, maybe you should put the list to use, or if it's only in the political forum... avoid it. Don't be too concerned with this. It happens occasionally and it eventually goes away. There were still about 20+ other active threads just yesterday having to do with cigars and cigar smokers. There are new members coming in all the time, cigar reviews going on, cigar passes, trades happening, members contributing to cigars for troops, photos, humor, etc. The good thing, as has been pointed out before, is that the disagreements usually stay in the political forum. And what's even better is that it seems if it does spill over to other groups, it gets squelched pretty quick. This thread, I think, is very active because many of us can't understand, as you pointed out, why anyone would start a ban on another member who is actively participating in every one of the cigar related activities because they disagree with his posts in a political forum. Some don't care, but others do, and they want to put their own $.02 in.

Sure the political forum gets nasty, but the rest of the board is alive and well.

Whether or not I was one of the several people who asked for your banning poll is irrelevant and none of your business under the board rules here, stop whining about it already, will you?
