Two small turkeys, one your way (to eat) and one hers (to look at)? Even if you have a bunch of leftovers you can freeze it up.

When I was married, I wasn't allowed in the kitchen so I never cooked. The kitchen was HER domain and HER "workshop" she knew where all her utensils, pots and pans were and doesn't like people fucking around with her shit.
That was one thing that worked well when we were married.![]()

The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done." -unknown
Your way is better for many reasons. The oven bag is the best way to cook a turkey and the stuffing should be cooked outside of the poison hole. Your turkey will always come out moist and tasty her turkey got a 50/50 chance. We are in 2006 and if grandma had all the new stuff we do back then she would have done it your way.![]()

Hi. My name is Jim and I like to shave!
I just try and avoid the kitchen unless I'm getting something from in there.
I have two ways that I prepare turkey. 1) I place the turkey in a roasting pan, breast up, and proceed to completely cover the bird with strips of bacon. Roast un-covered untill meat thermometer reads 175. The bacon gives the bird a great smokey flavor, and the meat is always moist.
2) I just put the bird in the smoker. More labor intensive, but it looks and tastes great.
While I prepare the main entree, my wife makes most of the side dishes. She doesn't mess with my bird, and I don't get involved in her dishes. Works for us.
