What do you guys think about maybe buying boxes of limited cigars and aging them for 5-10 years, and selling them then. If you think about it they are not making any more of these, and the cost for upkeep, and maintenance costs are virtually zero. How can you go wrong?(unless you smoke them) It is just an idea I had.

If it is not a bad idea, what brands, types would you think could work??
No offense, but smoking to me is a hobby. If say in 10 years I am sitting on a stack of smokes that are excellent, and may be worth more than I paid for them, I would be more inclined to gift them to friends that I know will enjoy them, or at most sell them for what I paid for them.

It would also be a tough sell because unless it was stored in very tightly controlled conditions (and you can prove it), it is basically worthless. The longer (generally) that you age a cigar, the more the conditions that it was stored in start to play a factor.

I am not collecting cigars to profit.
