Grilled pork chops. That's right, grilled pork chops in February. It was sooooo nice out today, we spent the whole afternoon in the yard. Albeit, a 10" packed yard of snow.

Wifey said "Grill?" and I said "Hellz yeah"

I will be grilling some chicken tonight as well as smoking something and drinking something. I'll report back with more details later as they become clearer, or foggier, depends on the drink I guess.

Fired up the grill this past week myself. Still below freezing the first couple times but we went above freezing a couple days ago and it's been staying there so I grilled Sat and Sun. Heck, it was so nice yesterday I was able to sit on my deck in the sun and have a cigar........in my T-Shirt!

Did up some very good pork chops on Saturday (they're a favorite of my wife) and yesterday was BBQ chicken breasts (bone in - I find they cook better) with Mashed potatoes and some steamed Asparagus.

I pulled out an elk meat pie for supper tonight MMMmmmm :P

Not dinner, but I made these tonight. My first attempt at confectioning. Um, they'll taste good, but I have a long way to go on my presentation.

For dinner I grilled chicken thighs, and asparagus. Heated up some baked beans to go with it.

Making some potato leek soup today, and preparing a whole bunch of ribs for smoking tomorrow.

This will be my first attempt smoking ribs. I have about 3 sets of babybacks, and I have 2 sets? is it sets? of full ribs, that I intend to cut St. Louis style. I have my standard "Oh Yeah" sauce I expect to be using, but I'd also like to try a mustard based sauce. I'll probably use cherry wood for smoking.

    Wish me luck.
