The French learned their lesson with the Statue of Liberty... Can't give those damned Americans ANYTHING for free!

You know, in the grand scheme of things, we should probably just make Iraq a US colony. We are really not good at setting up puppet governments. Look at Afghanistan and Iraq! At least colonies have a traditional history of forming and organized group to stand up against their oppressor. At least then you have a natural government stepping in. :)
