I generally end up aging cigars by default, through not finding the time or a special occasion for the higher end / larger sticks (think LEs and and Torps). When I do finally get to them it is a real treat.

I thought it was a tampon joke!
Not only do individuals do this, but some on-line sites do as well.....case in point Oliva MB 1's and cigar.com!! I agree with K7 and Mr Peat, the reason to collect cigars, imho, is to share them and enjoy them yourself....not profit. This is the philosophy that I have had for many years in all my collections...brewery advertising, autographed hockey pucks, and now...cigars. I have some stuff that I could definitely sell for a gigantic profit, but that is NOT why I collected it in the first place and my intentions are to will it to my children or donate the things to a museum when I can no longer enjoy them, especially the brewery stuff.
Someday if I hit the lotto i will build a house with a celar to store vintage ports and a a room with enviromental control to store the Pre-Castro Cuban cigars. Oh yeah since I will have won the lotto the house will sit on a lot of property with a HERF house with room for 50 or so not too far from my main house.
But for now my humi and Monti # 2 will sufice![]()
