Lesse... the way our system works. The press would pick up a story from a well meaning public servant in Washington (nothing is secret in Washington) about some poor soul having their apartment searched or their phone tapped, the press would be all over it, verified or not, as an alleged violation of rights and we would at least hear about it for about a day. Then the dems in Washington would grab hold of it and call for an impeachment of Bush.
